Confirmed: HTC Radar 4G Coming To T-Mobile
TmoNews received convincing and confirming shots that the upcoming HTC Radar running Windows Phone (with Mango update) will be running on the T-Mobile network. The phone is clearly decked out with T-Mobile branding, boot screen, TV app and mention of T-Mobile in the “about” section of the phone.
There is word on when it will actually launch or for how much, but it will sporting 4G and the rest of the specs can be found here.

Blue Screen Of Death Gets A Facelift

Earlier this week Windows 8 made its debut. Along with it’s brand new Metro interface is an overhauled Blue Screen of Death.
In earlier versions, users were faced with a string of text detailing where an error had occurred. However, this was useless information for most who saw it. Microsoft’s Build Event Is Today

Microsoft Confirms Hyper-V Is Built Into Windows 8, Infinitely Backwards Compatible
Microsoft revealed the support of Hyper-V at the official Windows 8 blog. Hyper-V is important as it allows the end users to run more than one 32-bit or 64-bit OS at the same time on the same computer.
“In building Windows 8 we worked to enable Hyper-V, the machine virtualization technology that has been part of the last 2 releases of Windows Server, to function on the client OS as well,” said Hyper-V program manager Mathew John. Video after the jump. –> Read more
HTC Brings Out the Big Guns : HTC Titan and Radar
HTC has unveiled two new Windows Phone, both packing Mango (the upcoming update with over 500 changes to the OS). The HTC Titan has a huge 4.7-inch screen, 1.5 Ghz processor, 512 MB of memory, 8 MP rear camera and 1.3 MP front facing camera. All of this is squeezed into just 9.9 millimeters of brush aluminum. For comparison, that is thinner than the iPhone 4.
The HTC Radar is a more reasonable phone with a 3.8-inch screen, with a 1 Ghz processor, 512 MB of memory, and 5 MP rear camera with a VGA front facing camera. The Radar is also dressed in a aluminum shell. –> Read more
The HTC Omega Could Have Mango In Store
We are expecting some major announcements out of the HTC event on September 1st. A slew of new devices are expect to be announced along with a potential tablet.

AU Japan Plans To Launch The Fujitsu IS12T On August 25th
AU will be the exclusive carrier of the Fujitsu IS12T in Japan. The company is already taking reservations and expected to fullfil the reservations on August 25th.
WP Central reported that: “Japanese Windows Phone news site NanaPho reports on one AU shop in Nishikasai, Tokyo taking such reservations. Going further, one of our readers, Chris Loguidice, let us know that he too was able to place an order.
This is pretty exciting as this is the first phone that is running the Mango OS.

ViewSonic Tablet Features Windows 10.1 and Android 2.3
ViewSonic is welcoming your business by offering a tablet user “options.” ViewSonic has said that they are listening to their customers and are ready to finally deliver. ViewSonic has announced that it will be bringing a dual OS tablet to market later this month: The ViewPad 10pro.
The ViewPad 10pro will be running the latest 10.1 Windows along with Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS.
Bill Kircos, general manager of marketing for Intel’s Netbook and Tablet Group mentioned that “our Intel platform supports multiple operating systems, and this tablet shows how consumers can move between Windows and Android experiences in a way that offers rich graphics, high-definition audio, easy Internet browsing and longer battery life in a slick form factor.”
The dual OS ViewPad 10pro is available in two configurations – with Windows 7 Professional (with a 32GB SSD hard drive) and Android 2.3 for an ESP of $699, or with Windows 7 Home Premium (with a 16GB SSD hard drive) and Android 2.3 for an ESP of $599. A custom docking station accessory is also available for an ESP of $59.
Looks like other Android tablet makers will need to be on the lookout for ViewSonic.

Microsoft Offers Free Xbox 360′s as Back To School Incentive
Update: Microsoft acquired Skype for $8.5 billion
Well Microsoft officially announced the $8.5 billion offer for the online video chat company. Microsoft stated in the press conference that “Skype will support Microsoft devices like Xbox and Kinect, Windows Phone and a wide array of Windows devices, and Microsoft will connect Skype users with Lync, Outlook, Xbox Live and other communities. Microsoft will continue to invest in and support Skype clients on non-Microsoft platforms.” Skypes CEO Tony Bates will continue to be at the Skype ladder with the new title of president under the Microsoft Skype Division. Congrats Microsoft!!!

Gigabyte’s S1080 Windows 7 Tablet
The Gigabyte S1080 tablet is officially out in Taiwan. This hardcore Windows 7 running, dual-core Atom n550 processing, 320GB hard driving, and ethernet port running machine, has it all. It even features a 10-inch screen and is 3G enabled. This could be the first tablet to actually give Apple some competition. In Taiwan the S1080 is priced at NT$22,900 (US $787) vs. the original Apple iPad priced at NT$22,800.
