However they left out one little piece of information and we finally received pricing information. In a MAP (minimum advertised price) leaked late last night, it was announced (unofficially), that getting your shinny new Droid 4 would set you back $249.99 with a two-year contract! Comparatively that is about $50 less then what most 4G handsets would cost. As always, take this with a grain of salt because because MAP’ings aren’t always correct. Then again 99% of the time they are…

On October 5th, Samsung released a teaser video claiming that “Something BIG is coming” showing an image of a curved smartphone with a 3-pin connector and camera protruding out the back. The theme of the video is that some things go better together. At the end of the video, the Google and Samsung logos are shown side by side. This means it could be Google’s next Nexus phone, the Nexus Prime. If it is the Prime, then it is to be the first phone with version of Android dubbed Ice Cream Sandwich, which blends the phone and tablet interfaces into one.

Samsung will unveil the phone at it’s Unpacked event, Oct 11, in San Diego.
